Meghalaya CM launches ‘walk to work’ campaign in the state

Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma launched the ‘Walk to Work’ campaign in the state. The campaign of Fit India Movement which has been launched in the country by the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister took a two-kilometre walk from his residential quarters to his office chamber at Main Secretariat, Shillong launching the WalktoWorkMeghalaya which is a part of the ‘Fit India Campaign’.

The idea of ‘walk to work’ will have multiple benefits, cuts the cost of fuel including reduction of CO2 emission, reduce congestion in the city and more importantly for health and fitness.

Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium to be renamed as Arun Jaitley Stadium

The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) decided to rename Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium as Arun Jaitley Stadium in the memory of its former president of DDCA. The renaming of the stadium will take place on 12th of September and also a stand at the Stadium will also be named after India captain Virat Kohli.
