Singer-songwriter David Berman dies
American musician, Singer-songwriter David Berman is popularly known for his work with indie-rock band the Silver Jews. who formed the indie group ‘Silver Jews’ in the 1990s. Although the band primarily existed as a recording project for most of its existence, the Silver Jews toured regularly from 2005 until 2009.
Berman also authored two books of poetry, ‘Actual Air,’ and ‘The Portable February’.
Berman had suffered from drug addiction for years and had survived several overdoses and one suicide attempt.
