Shubman Gill breaks double century record of Gautam Gambhir at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad

Shubman Gill scored a double hundred against West Indies A in the third unofficial Test at Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad. He remained unbeaten on 204 as India A and set a target of 373 for the West Indies A.

Gill became youngest Indian cricketer to score double hundred in first-class cricket at the age of 19 years and 334 days and breaks double century record of Gautam Gambhir.

The previous record was held by former India opener batsman Gautam Gambhir, who had scored a double century (218) for India’s Board President XI’s team against Zimbabwe in 2002, at the age of 20 years and 124 days.
